Russian Deputy Prime Minister’s visit to Chinese enterprises

On 24 and 25 June 2016, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev, who accompanied Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit China, took time out of his busy schedule to visit Sirius Holding Group, China Machinery Engineering Corporation, Hanergy Holding Group Limited and other Chinese enterprises. During his visit, he was accompanied by Alexander Osipov, First Deputy Minister of the Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East, Rustam Makarov, Director of the Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East and Vice Chairman of Russian Far East Development Group, Alexei Chekunkov, the head of the Far East Development Fund and He Zhenwei, Secretary-General of China Overseas Development Association.

Yury Trutnev congratulated the enterprises on their achievements and progress on their projects with Russia and the Russian Far East. He also instructed accompanying leaders of the Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East, Russian Far East Development Fund, and Russian Far East Development Group to give active support to projects that Chinese enterprises have carried out or will carry out in Russia. Meanwhile, he hoped Chinese enterprises will grasp the current opportunities to actively cooperate with Russia in a variety of sectors and jointly participate in the development and construction of Russian Far East.
